A Milestone Night In The Bronx
By now, you all know the Yankees have had many great baseball players suit up in pinstripes. This years team is no different.
While we can talk about the terrific last minute start by Dustin Moseley, I'd rather take a look at some of the milestones that were set by a trio of current great Yankees players.
The milestones continue to mount for Yankees shortstop and captain Derek Jeter. It almost se...

It's Moseley Easy For Yanks In Win
Yankees manager Joe Girardi was impressed enough to say he may have found a replacement in the starting rotation until Andy Pettitte returns from injury.
Dustin Moseley did enough to earn another start after throwing six innings of one run ball in his first starts since last April. The righty has battled back through an arm and hip surgery.
While he said he "felt calm from the get-go," Moseley ad...

5 Players The Yankees Need To Step Up In 2nd Half
The New York Yankees enter the second half of the 2010 MLB season with the best record in the league. Not to much to complain about other than the inconsistent bullpen.
Throughout the first half the Yankees received the usual production from players like CC Sabathia, Andy Pettitte, Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, and Jorge Posda. They also got some surprise performances from guys like Nick Swisher a...

Torre's Dodgers Miss The Fat Lady, Blow Lead and Game To Yankees
It's the old saying, 'It ain't over til the fat lady sings.'

Broxton had pitched the night before but Torre, knowing how tough the Yanke...

Big Week for Double G Sports Fantasy Baseball Team
Double G Sports had a great week in Battle of the Blogs Fantasy Baseball last week. In just one week, I went from last place in the Willie Mays Division to second place. This was made possible by a 15-5 win over Lady Loves Pinstripes.

Lady Loves Pinstripes had been in first place in the Mickey Mantle Division but has since fallen to second in her division.

My overall record for the year is cur...

Scary Moment Reminds Us, "It's Just A Game"
Despite the millions of fans, huge contracts, and celebrity names, baseball is just a game. We have all heard the saying growing up, "It's just a game."

That thought often gets lost as players and fans get into games and the competition. Occasionally however, we are reminded how much these great sporting events are just games.

We got a reminder of this yesterday at Yankee Stadium in a game bet...

2010 Subway Series Preview: Version 1
Interleague play gets underway today in Major League Baseball. The New York Mets and New York Yankees get together for the first of two series this season. The Subway Series may have lost some of its luster the past couple seasons, but both teams have a lot riding on this series. Starting tonight, the teams will play a three game series at Citi Field.
The Mets, 20-22 overall, have been s...
