Couldn't agree more Cavalierman. It is shocking to see that this happens at all!! But that would be an outsiders point of view.

RE: Gatorade May Have Picked The Wrong Guy
Most people are too quick to put all the blame on KG here in Minneapolis BUT he has been absent at critical times in the playoffs. Unfortunately for him, he doesn't have the excuse of having to carry the team like he had with the T'Wolves.
Bottom Line: KG needs to step it up tonight!!

RE: News flash: Cheating remains unacceptable
How can people believe the taping didn't benefit the NE Patriots' AMAZING dominance streak? They are in complete denial!
If the NBA doesn't address this issue and fast, they could be the next NHL.

RE: Sports Illustrated picks the Vikings to win it all - really?!?
I would have to say that they will win at least 10 games this year (simply due to their division) but definately not winning the SB!
Chiefs, seriously?!? They will be lucky to finish third in their division.

Shanahan's move further illustrates the hatred for the current OT rules. Had they tied the game and lost the coin toss it would have all been for nothing! It is time to implement something similar to the college system.

RE: Larry Johnson: "...disgusted with myself"
Little credit?!? This coming from the guy who continuously bashed Ricky Williams for smoking mary jane. Larry is beating women, repeatedly, this dude needs to be in jail/anger management, at the very least suspended from the NFL!
Corey Posted At 1/31/2009 10:47 AM
RE: Larry Johnson: "...disgusted with myself"
This is not his first offense, merely his third offense since '03. His first one for assault and waving a gun at his ex-girlfriend was dropped because he agreed to enter a domestic abuse program. This IS a conviction (if he wouldn't have agreed would he not have been convicted?).
This is an extreme example but do you give a murderer credit for admitting his crimes? The problem with our society is that since this guy can play football at a high level we are willing to give extra leniency where none would be provided to "Joe the plumber".
I am not saying to lock him up for the rest of his life, nor lock him up at all (since this is a huge burden on the tax payer) but that we have to detract this man from doing this in the future. How do you discourage a man that has all the money he will ever need from doing this again. As a new father, I am looking at discipline for my child. Too many parents rely on timeout as the primary form of discipline which I believe doesn't work because kids don't fear it.
I don't have all the answers but kicking these guys out of the NFL would be a extreme motivator for clean living!
Were you on the jury for the original OJ trial?!?

I would also like to see the cardinals win but this Boldin situation soils that feeling somewhat for me!

RE: Boldin is the new TO
Yes he isn't up to TO's level, YET. We will have to see how the rest of this week goes for his final status. It is just sad that he is being mentioned in that same category as TO.

RE: Chiefs pick up 'well-dressed' Amani Toomer
It hurts to admit but this IS a good move for the Chiefs. They have a steep uphill climb offensively this year but rounding out their WR position is a step in the right direction.
Now we will have to see if Cassel can produce without an all-star cast and Billy B. pulling the strings.

RE: What happens when you lose to the Chiefs?
If it was just losing to the Chiefs that is one thing but after a dismal start to the season coupled with the loss it is Devastating to a franchise. The Chiefs basically are a "California Penal League" team this year and to get beat by them is a catastrophe.
For the Washington franchise there is always next year but for Zorn this very well could be the end!

RE: Yankees advance to World Series with blast from the past
I would of loved to see the pinstripes play the World Series if CC could only pitch in two of the games. It would be a very different series.
Also, for all the grief A-Rod took during his struggles this season, it doesn't seem like he is getting much hype on his stellar performances in this postseason!

I listened to Mike and Mike on the way to work and they threw out a stat that was pretty unbelievable: In post season history, only 6 pitchers have struck out 10, walked none, and given up 0 earned runs....CLIFF LEE has TWO OF THEM!!!
That is pretty amazing....on the biggest stage, he dominated!
Go Phils!

RE: Long Time No See
Childress has gotten a bad rap in MN when he hung his hat on Travaris Jackson, however, drafting Peterson and Harvin have not gotten him any respect in the league. In the draft, Peterson's big knock is that he is too much of an upright runner and he will get injured by the bigger/faster NFL defensive players. Turned out pretty well for the Vikes.
Harvin's knock was that he had no work ethic, and shady dealings off the field. Much like a Chris Carter and Randy Moss that has turned out Very well for the Vikes!
Farve is the glue that holds this squad together and if they lose him it is season over!

RE: Published or not Donaghy's book slam dunks NBA
It's these type of accusations which have been voiced for many many years by fans and players that have soiled the game in my opinion. I can't stand to see the Kobe's and LeBron's of the world taking three and four steps before dunking and not getting called for traveling.
In my humble opinion, the NBA is more similar to WWE than it is to the NFL.
College is where it is at! It is still a mostly pure game and an enjoyment to watch. There is no substitute for March Madness!

The Box is a take off of Alfred's short of the same title! I won't ruin the movie if it stays along the same lines but it does bring into question the length. Seems to me that there has to be some serious filler in there, which means the movie could drag!

Completely agree with you! Unfortunately, I WANT to see this fight. For the simple reason of wanting to watch Mayweather get beat down. After all his talk and wanting to cement his place in history, he simply can't dodge this fight.
If there is no fight, he can't claim a thing about his so called unblemished record instead he must accept that he is YELLOW!

RE: Fred Couples Playing Like A Kid At The Masters AND....
I just got done watching Sportscenter and got disgusted with the shot by shot coverage Tiger is getting yet Freddie scored a birdie and nothing on him. It wasn't until the last ten minutes when they showed clips of the entire field that we saw a clip of Freddie.
Kody you touched on a sore subject for the diehards. The PGA is and has been trying to go mainstream hence the 24/7 coverage on Tiger but they are singlehandedly disrespecting everyone else with little to no coverage.

RE: Who Is The Best Quarterback Ever In The NFL? Peyton Manning.
Marino. The standard is the ring, however, looking at stats and what he has done with what he had to work with it leaves very little doubt in my mind. Same argument would go for Barry Sanders (not that he is the greatest ever but you know what I'm saying).

What no Fred Couples? Just kidding. The fall of Tiger Woods is a good thing for the game of golf (at least from a purest's perspective). With Tiger on a sabbatical the field opens up like you said and it leaves some intrigue for the masses. I like the fact that you could have some relatively unknown name step up on one of the biggest stages and walk away with a win. Because let's face it when Tiger is on his game he will have none of that.

That necklace is the point of garage sales. You buy something for a good price since the seller could care less about the item and probably will be throwing it away soon.
