 After interviewing six candidates, Nets team president Rod Thorn announced general manager Kiki Vandeweghe as the team's interim head coach. Vandeweghe played 13 years in the NBA and was a director of player development in Dallas but has no head coaching experience. Prior to coming to New Jersey, he was the GM for the Denver Nuggets.

 Lawrence Frank was canned after the New Jersey Nets started the season 0-16. Frank's assistant, Tom Barrise took over the team for its game against the Los Angeles Lakers.  Kenny Britt is once again the Knight of the week in the NFL. Britt caught a career high 7 passes for 128 yards, including his game winning 10 yd TD catch as time expired as the Titans defeated the Arizona Cardinals.
