NFL Week 4: Lock 'Em & Sock 'Em

Every week I will pick two games on the NFL schedule that I think are locks and one game that I will take an upset pick. I am not going to pretend to be an expert. I just think it will be fun to see how I do. I will keep track of my results throughout the season.

Keep in mind these picks are not using the spread. They are straight winners.

Lock #1

New York Giants @ Kansas City Chiefs:  The NY Giants go into Kansas City after dominating Tampa Bay last week. I am expecting the same results this week. The Chiefs are very weak. They have a lot of trouble against teams that use pressure defense to beat you. The Giants are certainly one of those teams. The potential return of Justin Tuck just makes the Giants defense even better. Also returning for the Giants is rookie WR Hakeem Nicks. Nicks will provide Eli Manning with yet another option in the under rated passing game.  Giants win: LOCK IT UP!

Lock #2

Seattle Seahawks @ Indianapolis Colts:  Peyton Manning and the Colts return home after getting two prime time wins on the road. Seattle is traditionally a bad road team. Add in some key injuries and this looks like a disaster for the Seahawks. I fully expect Peyton and the Colts offense to easily roll over the Seattle defense. Lets also be honest here...does Seneca Wallace really scare anyone??  Colts win: LOCK IT UP!

Upset Alert

Dallas Cowboys @ Denver Broncos:  Dallas goes on the road after finally getting a win in their new beautiful stadium last week against Carolina in prime time. The Cowboys and Tony Romo have looked very inconsistent and even confused at times. Playcalling has also been questionable.  The Broncos defense has been down right dominant so far this year. They have however done so against the likes of the Bengals, Browns, and Raiders. I think they continue to play good defensively and Tony Romo makes a big key mistake at some point. Broncos in the upset!!

Looks like 3 for 3. Not bad man, not bad.
Thank you. Needed a final play in the Denver game but I got the win, thats really all that matters.
Nice work on the upset!
How much I love the Broncos. And how much I love people who are smart enough to give us just a hint of respect. Good call on us frustrating TOMO all day!
